An exciting opportunity to work for a leading insurer based in the City of London as a Trading Underwriter to work within a thriving commercial underwriting team.


Responsible for negotiating and trading with an aligned panel of brokers on allocated renewals, quotations, new business and ad-hoc enquiries. You will play a proactive role in developing of aligned broker accounts including prospecting with a wider range of products and support of the wider trading team. The role will be performance driven judged on business results. You will spend a proportion of time face to face with brokers, creating opportunities and winning business at appropriate level, developing strong relationships.


The right individual with will have exceptional trading skills and will need to be able to demonstrate a sound technical knowledge in one of the major classes - Property and Liability, Motor Fleet, Motor Trade.
