An exciting opportunity has arisen for a leading insurer based in Southampton who are looking for a Trading Underwriter to work within their successful complex commercial team.


Your key responsibilities will be to underwrite and negotiate complex risks to ensure profitable results are achieved for the unit by applying underwriting philosophy and strategies. You will track performance and produce monthly reports using relevant MI and implement actions to maximise growth in accordance with company and team targets. You will need to build and maintain strong personal relationships with the key influencers with the teams key brokers and partners.


The ideal candidate will need to have substantial experience within commercial property and liability underwriting, have a market awareness and presence, have in-depth technical knowledge and understanding of products underwriting strategy and in-depth knowledge of risk management and risk management solutions.
