Our client, an Essex based Insurance Company, are currently looking to recruit an In-House Company Doctor to join the company on a permanent basis, within their Travel Claims centre.


The ideal applicant will be a qualified GP with previous experience of working within a Travel Claims division and will have experience in areas such as travel repatriations or aviation medicine, however, this is not essential. The In-House Company Doctor will be responsible for reviewing all medical cases that require doctor intervention and determine the medical necessities.


Responsiblities will also include:
Authorising medical tests, surgery and hospitalisation.
Follow up evaluation of the patient throughout the course of treatment ensuring best care and quality services being received, communicate and liaise with the treating doctors abroad.
Devise and assist with the repatriation plan of the patient from hospital to home, taking into account the various medical situations.
Evaluate the transfer time table, for the time of the trip and best position for the patient during the trip and if a medical escort is required.
