A leading Insurer have two new claims positions available, due to expansion. The roles are predominantly in respect of Engineering Claims handling and are to ensure a cost effective, high quality service which meets or exceeds customer expectations and achieves local business plans and objectives within this specialist and growing area of the business.
You will have responsibility for a complex and varied caseload of claims and deal predominantly with brokers, adjusters and solicitors.


Your priorities will be:


Ensuring the claims service standards are maintained or enhanced.
Building and developing the claims management capability through coaching individuals.
Challenging and driving innovation
Presenting yourself as a strong role model to peers and management, displaying excellent skills and behaviours.
Undertaking an assessment of service delivery to identify improvements and implements solutions to resolve problems
Providing innovative proposals to improve service delivery; manages projects to implement agreed improvement plan
Working collaboratively with other Team members to contribute to achievement of departments objectives
Building and maintaining effective relationships with key intermediaries / customers and suppliers.





Essential Knowledge and Skills


Sound knowledge of Claims systems, procedures and product content provision
Previous experience of handling Engineering or Commercial Property claims.
Able to work with key colleagues, in claims and underwriting.
Awareness of key intermediaries and service expectations
Able to maintain and build effective internal and external relationships (e.g. with major brokers).
Ability to work within cross functional teams.
Ability to create and interpret business strategy and vision and apply to own area of responsibility
