The Business Risk function provides risk management and compliance advice to UK regulated
entities involved in Insurance and Reinsurance Broking.
We are now looking for a Business Risk Officer to handle day-to-day enquiries from the UK
regulated entities and associated Overseas Offices relating to risk and compliance.
Main Responsibilities & Accountabilities:
As a Business Risk Officer your main responsibilities and accountabilities will be:
• Handling general day-to-day business enquiries including:
? assisting in any required compliance monitoring;
? advise on procedures and compliance issues;
? assisting in any specific project work;
? transactions and document related approvals; and
• Ensure all observations and recommendations made, are documented to the business
• Provide guidance, coaching, training and support to specific business units
• Ongoing monitoring of existing controls to establish potential risks and maintain
accurate records
• Assist in ensuring that operational procedure manuals are regularly monitored and
assessed
• Advise and assist the business in processes and procedures are adhered to so that
regulatory risk is minimised
• Ensure complaints are handled in line with the agreed defined complaints process.
• Inform Business Risk Manager of any material variance to process or non adherence
to policy or manual
• Work with other departments (e.g. legal) to direct compliance issues to appropriate
existing channels for investigation and resolution
