An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a highly respected London market insurer within their growing UK Real Estate team.

Your role will involve developing new and renewal UK Property business from a range of brokers. Operating within your underwriting authority and managing a panel of large and influential brokers you will have autonomy to manage your business in line with company and personal new business, retention and profitability objectives.

The successful individual must be able to demonstrate a track record trading building long term relationships within the London city real estate market, a sound technical knowledge of UK property/real estate insurance and a deep knowledge and thorough understanding of the key features and specific meanings of the specialist covers and terms for the class. You should also be able to demonstrate an understanding of the factors that make up combined operating ratios and the financial models that are used. Risk management is a key factor within this role so you should be able to demonstrate how you would recommend and implement corrective action on poor performing business, implement Risk Improvement Requirements and assess risk exposure from either MPL or EML perspectives in order to ensure that capacity is maximised.
