A City based Insurance Company are looking for a Senior Claims candidate within their Professional Indemnity and Financial Lines team. The role will be a three month maternity cover contract. Under technical direction, you will be responsible for investigating and maintaining complex claims relative to sphere of responsibility including Financial Lines and PI claims. Candidate will need some PI/FI/D&O claims experience.



Essential Duties & Responsibilities


Interpret policy coverage and determine if coverage applies to claims submitted, escalating
issues as needed.
Set reserves and authorise payment within scope of authority settling claims in most cost
effective manner and ensure payments are made in accordance with guidelines.
Conduct investigations and evaluate claims through contact with insureds, claimants, witnesses and experts, including solicitors, loss adjusters, doctors’ etc.
Work with brokers, agents, co-insurers and solicitors for disposition of claims.
Work with underwriters, brokers and agents for risk management and loss control purposes.
