A well known and respected London Market reinsurer are looking to strengthen their operations team with this key and influential appointment.
The role will oversee all phases of project management from investigations, feasibility study, project initiation, specification testing and implementation management. Responsible for leading project teams in a complex environment with varying numbers of departments the responsibilities will include working with users to specify business requirements where systems are developed, to design procedures that are efficient and have the necessary controls and risk management embedded in them, to test systems to ensure they operate in accordance with specification and to manage implementation processes that will ensure the safe introduction of systems with adequate acceptance processes that ensure business continuity through a change.
The successful individual must have direct insurance technical ability as detailed issues will require resolution at this level and have significant experience of general insurance technical accounting and/or managing general insurance operations, including claims processing. You should have extensive project management experience including experience as a project manager. The jobholder must have good leadership as wall as strong analytical skills and be able to manage the pressure associated with a highly active process driven environment and strong and authentic communication skills for liaison both within the organisation and with third party contacts such as auditors and regulators.
