An Essex based Insurance Company currently seek an Assistant Claims Manager to work within their Coach & Bus Claims department. The successful applicant will assist in the operational management of the Coach & Bus Claims team, directing, monitoring and controlling the handling of claims and processes within the control of the team.
Assist the Claims Manager and provide leadership in developing a high performance operational culture within the teams
Develop, implement and provide ongoing support and management of Motor claims though the Team that report into you to ensure consistency of approach and roll out of Best Practice
Provide leadership and work collaboratively within the teams to ensure MI and resources are best used to support achievement of overall business targets for the Claims Department
Manage relationships with Clients and Brokers, ensuring delivery of agreed service levels
Manage, co-ordinate and participate in audits of external claims handling organisations to ensure compliance with handling protocols
Support the delivery of the initiatives and projects in the Motor Claims programme and roll out into the department and be able to use the most effective channel of communication
Ensure the teams comply with claims handling and FSA/Compliance guidelines
Deputise for Manager in the performance of his/her duties as and when required
Assist with internal file reviews, audits and competency reviews
Act as a technical referral point and training resource within the department and for teams under their control
Responsible for the performance management of their direct reports via the PMP process and individual 1:2:1s
Supporting or owning projects or initiatives as set out within the Motor Claims Programme
Handle a small allocation of large losses
