Leading UK Insurer with offices across the country are seeking a Statistical Analyst within their Essex operation. You will be required to develop statistical and management information for the Syndicate business.


You will be extracting and organising data for underwriting and to provide support to assist them with pricing decisions. Produce timely and accurate underwriting MI. Review and analyse underwriting MI. Produce analysis of broker and scheme performance. Producing presentations for senior management as required
Helping to develop the understanding of Underwriting MI across the syndicate. You will be required to identify and improve the quality of data held on the MI systems.

The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of underwriting MI in relation to the pricing and profitability of the business. Appropriate analysis of underwriting performance is required to determine underlying profitability. You should have good knowledge of the insurance systems, data architecture and data fields. Understanding of underwriting MI systems and analytical tools. You will have a good understanding of of the insurance products, acceptance criteria and underwriting terms and conditions and to have a good knowledge of the insurance market.
