Expanding UK insurer writing a range of motor business are currently growing its referral underwriting team in Colchester and needs an individual to join them in this specialist division.


You will be dealing with correspondence and calls from delegated authority agents ensuring that all queries raised are brought to a satisfactory conclusion. Managing telephone enquiries from various sources using experience and knowledge of the underwriting requirements. Where terms and conditions are agreed, a quotation reference must be given.


You will be given your own allocation of brokers and will be responsible for providing quotations for new business and calculating renewal prices, as well as processing and servicing your broker accounts. The role provides a real opportunity to develop relationships with the market and to make a name for yourself.


You should have experience in motor underwriting within an underwriting or broking environment, have great communication and interpersonal skills and a proven ability to develop and maintain solid relationships with all those around you.
