A leading insurance company in the City have an exciting opportunity to join their successful marine claims division. The successful applicant will assist and deputise for the Marine Claims Manager & look after the management of claims, outside vendors and procedures.


Other responsibilities will include the validation of claim presentations (i.e. cause, coverage and quantum),
establishing adequate claim reserve figures for the company, and to inform any following market.


The successful applicant will have relevant experience of working within a Marine or Logistics claims environment and experience of working with, and directing, other professionals in the Marine Cargo, Vessel Management and Repair and Logistics field. Experience of working with Lloyds or IUA Claims practices and procedures would be an advantage..


It is essential that the post holder has a sound working knowledge of Incoterms, Time & Voyage Charterparties, P& I rules and their application.


The post holder must possess sound analytical skill, mature judgement and ability to effectively lead staff as well as the capacity to carry a significant workload, promote the business and attain objectives and desired results.
