Due to expansion, a highly respected insurance broker in Hertfordshire seek three Commercial Insurance Account Handler roles to join their existing team. Two of the positions will be paying up to £25,000, and the third position which is more senior, will pay up to £30,000. Candidates applying for the senior position will need to be CII qualified.


All three positions will involve handling all classes of business, including non motor claims. Other classes of business will include Liability, Commerical Property, Fleet & Goods in Transit.


Other duties will include:


Placing and administering Commercial Insurances to meet client requirements.


Maintaining agreed standards of service and project a positive and professional image to Clients, Insurance Companies and Field Force. Observe FSA requirements.


Obtaining suitable Insurance Contracts in response to Client Requirements including re-broking renewals when required


Proactively manage the settlement of claims at the best possible terms for our clients


Ensuring prompt and accurate input of data to the computer system


Assisting as required in the training of other members of the department


Comply at all times with the Regulators rulebook and the company’s internal procedures.



Applicants should have a high level of technical knowledge and prior experience in a commercial account handling role.


The benefits package will incorporate Life cover (x3 salary), Contributory GPP membership after probation period and Permanent Health Insurance after one year. There is also an allocation of 25 days annual holiday.
