A rapidly expanding Loss Adjuster are looking for a Domestic Field Investigator in the Manchester area. You will handle a range of Domestic Property claims from first advice through to settlement, and have full control over your diary. The roles will be home based, with a laptop, mobile and company car all provided.


Key Responsibilities:


Ensure that service levels and standard procedures are followed to determine the validity of claims handled by the department
Undertake field visits at policyholder premises to assess the validity of claims within a specified time frame
Efficient handling of department insurance claims and any other claims following standard procedures
Ensure correspondence both written and verbal is responded to within service standards
Ensure the accuracy of information recorded in the database
Achieve service standards, company and contractual requirements
Ensure proficient letters composed for written enquiries
Maintain filing system
General office duties as and when required
Adapt to the constantly changing requirements of the department and the company and perform additional tasks as may be required
Advise policyholders on terms, limits and liability
Development of policy wordings in conjunction with the Field Manager
To provide face to face advice and assistance to policyholders in a professional manner
Communicating professionally with a variety of people including policyholders, insurers, government agencies and other clients
Ensure compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements
Communicate effectively with Managers and Directors
Ensure visits are arranged and undertaken within agreed service standards



Qualification Requirements:


7 GCSEs Grade C or above (including Maths and English); or 3 A Level passes
Domestic/Household claims experience
Progress towards attaining an Insurance qualification would be a benefit
