A leading insurance company based in Essex have a new opportunity for a bright and motivated Underwriting Administrator.


Duties & Responsibilities:


Maintain administration duties within the department to include telephone cover,
to ensure the department is effective and professional at all times.
Input data accurately on relevant internal and external systems in order to
maintain correct and up to date information
Respond to client requests in accordance with service standards to provide an
excellent customer focus
Respond to any credit control queries
Investigate and respond to queries on various reports with accuracy and within
agreed timescale
Develop effective working relationships with internal customers and the team
Resolve customer queries, referring the query where necessary, to ensure prompt
resolution
Capture data accurately on internal systems in order to maintain accurate
information
Carry out technical processing to ensure all transactions are processed and
therefore reflected in the balance sheet accurately
Assist other team members as required in order to ensure team objectives are
achieved successfully


Essential Requirements


Good interpersonal and analytical skills
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to develop and maintain strong internal and external working
relationships
Effective Organisational skills
Attention to detail
Self-motivated and able to use initiative
Previous Office experience essential
Previous Insurance experience an advantage
Adaptable to change
Educated to GCSE or equivalent level (minimum A-C in Maths)
Working knowledge of MS Office including Word and Excel
