A high calibre candidate is sought to join a Claims Supply Chain team with responsibility for managing a wide range of suppliers providing insurance services to the company across all classes of commercial insurance. The role will encompass end to end Supply Chain activities including identifying business needs, selection of suppliers, development of best practices, negotiation of contracts and ongoing management of performance.


Due to the nature of the companies business the role will include the management of law firms, adjusters and specialist claims service providers both in the UK and worldwide.


General Description


Working with the relevant Claims teams to identify key business requirements and performance metrics.
Designing and managing the supplier selection process
Negotiating both commercial terms and contracts with suppliers
Monitoring and reviewing the performance of the suppliers against contract
Support Head of Claims Supply Chain in the development of supplier strategy
Relationship management with key suppliers to maximise benefit for the company
Leading project teams on new Supplier initiatives and pilots



Essential Requirements

Strong analytical & problem solving skills
Understanding of legal principles including basic contract law
Knowledge of insurance market and in particular claims
Strong influencing and negotiation skills
Excellent communication and relationship management skills
Project management and change management skills
Effective presentation skills
Intermediate to Expert IT Skills, Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint
