Opportunity to join a highly respected international insurer in a key management role based within their prestigious city offices.
Responsible for managing and monitoring the Property division's DUA and facility portfolio, ensuring compliance with all relevant internal and Lloyd's regulations and requirements the role will involve:
Supporting underwriters in the development of DUA business, including both the operational and financial review of individual authorities, whether new or renewal, Operating a stringent “due diligence” process for new and renewing coverholders to ascertain professional and financial credentials, thereby ensuring that internal and Lloyd’s quality and security standards are met, Ensuring that all Binding Authority Agreements, rating plans and underwriting authorities are completed and signed off, ensuring adherence to internal and Lloyd’s procedural requirements, Monitoring the processing, recording and measurement of insurance risks under DUA and facility arrangements to enable accurate EPI monitoring, Monitoring coverholder bordereau and premium payment discipline to ensure that high levels of coverholder reporting performance are maintained, Operating a structured and consistent approach to underwriting audits and reviews in conjunction with underwriters, Preparing accurate, detailed and timely reports, including statistical analysis, to monitor and review performance competently, Supporting credit control and accounting functions through ensuring the timely and accurate processing of all transactions and premium errors, Attending all relevant team meetings and liaise with underwriters and other internal departments to ensure that the department operates collaboratively
The right individual will ideally have a minimum of a 2:1 in a business or analytical related degree or relevant level of business experience, have experience of working in an Underwriting Division, good interpersonal and strong communication skills, understanding of compliance issues, strong skills in Excel and other analytical tools, good interpersonal and strong communication skills, ability to manage a busy workload, ability to work independently and consult appropriately, attention to detail combined with pragmatism, strong levels of personal drive and enthusiasm
