An exciting new opportunity has arisen for a Personal Injury Claims Handler within an expanding Essex based insurance company. Their corporate fleet department are looking to recruit an a PI Adjuster who will be expected to efficiently handle a dedicated case load of claims. This will include all aspects of Third Party claims, liability disputes, accidental damage within specified customer service standards and authority levels. Experience in dealing with PI claims will be advantageous.


General Description


Pro-actively seek to establish liability and indemnity on all claims being
handled by them at any given time


Understand the nature of Personal injury claims, CPR and CRU

A thorough understanding and ability to settle credit hire claims in a cost
effective manner


Take telephone calls and action letters


Effectively prioritise and handle a case load along with new incoming post


Manage all claims competently to ensure that they are adequately reserved
and settled as economically as possible


Develop and maintain an in depth knowledge of legal & regulatory matters.


A working knowledge of the legal systems in England / Wales and Scotland.



Essential Requirements


Experience of handling motor claims involving credit hire and liability disputes

Experience of handling PI Claims

Effective communication skills, written and verbal, demonstrated by
experience liaising with internal and external stakeholders


Ability to develop and maintain solid working relationships with both internal
and external stakeholders


Ability to organise workload, under pressure, whilst meeting tight deadlines

Ability to work on own initiative
