A large insurer based in Surrey have a new role on within their Life claims department. Responsibilities will involve handling Income Protection, Critical Illness, Accident & Health and Medical claims.
Other duties will include:
Liaising with Clients, Reinsurers, and external Customers.
Responsible for the timely and accurate assessment and settlement of high volume group and individual technical claims from cradle to grave within agreed authority and service levels. Such claims arising from life, income protection, critical illness, waiver of premium and medical expenses insurance products.
Identifying and investigating potential non-disclosure claims.
Identifying and investigating potential fraudulent claims.
SYSTEMS:
A thorough understanding of Microsoft Packages including Word, Access, Excel and Outlook. Candidates must have an understanding of how formulas work in Excel and be able to create a spreadsheet.
BACKGROUND:
Candidates MUST have considerable experience and exposure in handling group/individual life claims, including income protection, critical illness, accident & health, medical, and rehabilitation claims. Our client will not look at other types of products outside this criteria as this is essential for the role.
Life Office experience preferred, or alternatively they would consider candidates from a Reinsurance or Consultancy background.
Candidates must be able to demonstrate technical ability coupled with a proven track record of handling group life / income protection claims.
