An Essex based broker have a new & exciting opportunity for a Development Manager. Our client provide broking, outsourced insurance and risk support services for housing associations and are the market leader in this sector. They are looking to expand into the wider public sector, with the creation of a division providing a similar and expanded range of services. Our client are seeking an individual who has experience of working with or in the public sector in the field of insurance and/or risk management to spearhead our exciting expansion plans.


Your role will be to spend time with senior managers in public sector organisations persuading them that there is a different and more cost effective way of managing their insurance and related functions. You will be responsible for research, settling strategy, identifying and contacting prospects, building and managing relationships, designing and maintaining prospect plans, responding to and/or managing OJEU tenders where appropriate.


Skills


Experience of working with an advising public sector in insurance and/or risk management, in particular local authorities.
Confidence and skills to influence at a senior level
Flexible and hard working – self starter
Experience in running complaint OJEU tenders
Personal organisation and planning skills
A good team worker with the ability to motivate and lead a team of people
Negotiating and influencing skills
Excellent communications and presentation skills, to be able to inform and persuade both orally and in writing
