My client is a Lloyd’s Market and General Insurance Company and they are recruiting for a FTC or Day Rate Contractor Operations Manager to work in the London and UK branch. The ideal candidate will be a broadly experienced Operations Manager from the Insurance Market and someone who wants to be a part of a growing and evolving Lloyd’s and Company Market business.
Summary
To thrive in this position you will be solution and delivery focused, energetic and have great influencing skills with previous operational experience in the London insurance market. You will report to the CEO and General Manager.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Reviewing and implementing operational policies and practices across all disciplines for the Managing Agency and UK Branch
- Managing and evolving the London Operating Model day to day and driving efficiencies where possible
- Assisting with managing key operational business processes and developing appropriate performance measures, operational KPIs, MI and reporting to relevant committees, Boards and stakeholders that succinctly explain performance, plans, risks and issues to ensure and drive operational efficiencies
- Leading on Operational Resilience requirements, integrating this with the business
- Assisting to define and overseeing our project management framework
- Working with key stakeholders to provide insight on industry market trends and drive innovative operational solutions for the London operating entities
- Being responsible for London Business Continuity, Business Impact and Disaster Recovery
- Managing the outsourcing and Third Party Provider contracts for London
- Being responsible for the administration of specific systems such as MDC, CMR, Xchanging, LORS and LIMOSS
- Ensuring compliance with the Lloyds Principles of Doing Business (RIO) from an operational perspective
- Building and maintaining a high performance culture through effective collaboration, , communication, teamwork and training
- Taking responsibility for the operational delivery of other major strategic business projects and operational performance as required
- Performing all duties in line with the FCA Individual Conduct Rules as documented in the Employee Handbook
Your skills and abilities should include:
- Previous experience in an operational role in the London Insurance Market - essential
- Excellent communication skills
- Knowledge of project management practices
- Excellent stakeholder management and influence management skills.
