A leading insurance company have a new opening for a Claims Bordereaux Technician in their Birmingham office. Duties will include co-ordinating the day-to-day relationship with TPAs and clients with claims authority from a technical accounting perspective, escalating issues when necessary. Other duties will include monitoring claims fund levels, analysing monthly claims fund reconciliations and ensuring that claims bordereaux are collected and processed within agreed timescales.
Duties and Responsibilities
Collect claims bordereaux from TPAs and clients with claims authority within the timescales set out in the claims handling agreement or binding authority.
Ensure that claims bordereaux are processed onto the appropriate system, errors are followed up and claims payments are raised on a timely basis.
Ensure cash advances and cash calls are raised and paid in a timely manner.
Analyse and query the bank reconciliations provided by TPAs and clients with claims authority monthly.
Produce monthly claims reports.
Manage the level of claims funds held by TPAs and clients with claims authority by reviewing fund levels on a regular basis, producing reconciliations and arranging increases and reductions when necessary.
Assist with carrying out reviews and audits of clients and TPAs from a claims technical finance perspective.
Maintain internal and external relationships to ensure prompt collection and reporting of claims data.
