A London based MGA is recruiting for a Group Financial Controller.
Reporting to the CFO, the successful applicant will manage all daily finance functions (FP&A, ledger, budget, etc.) in an MGA which has undergone significant change and is expanding into Europe and Asia.
You will need UK GAAP and IFRS, group, and statutory reporting knowledge to address group needs and local reporting requirements, be able to integrate new acquisitions, can manage audits in various countries with different responsibilities, allocate costs to various legal entities (transfer pricing), can oversee Group reporting functions with support from local reporting teams, implement process and control improvements and lead / coach the Finance team.
Applicants must be qualified accountants with relevant previous experience gained within the insurance industry (MGA, Carrier, or Broker) at a senior / controllership level, have UK GAAP and IFRS knowledge and have managed staff / teams before. Any exposure to working in a PE backed environment would be particularly useful.
