The Opportunity
My client, a respected Lloyd’s broker, is seeking a Technician to join their London office. This role is well-suited to someone with prior insurance market experience who is looking to develop their technical skills within a specialist marine and commercial environment. You’ll be part of a supportive team, focusing on processing and documentation rather than direct production.
Responsibilities:
Support brokers and senior technicians with day-to-day processing tasks.
Prepare and check documentation including slips, endorsements, and evidence of cover.
Process premium and claims entries, ensuring accuracy and compliance with market standards.
Assist with IMR uploads, LPANs, and other core technical processes.
Maintain accurate records and update internal systems.
Work closely with colleagues to ensure documentation and payment flows are handled efficiently.
What we’re looking for:
Previous insurance market experience (e.g. within a broker, carrier, or coverholder).
Familiarity with London Market processes and systems (IMR / LPANs).
Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
A team player with a proactive and flexible attitude.
Keen to build a longer-term career within the London Market in a technical/processing role.
