Overview

Our client, a respected and growing reinsurance intermediary, is seeking an experienced Reinsurance Broker to join their international team. This is a key production-focused role suited to a broker with established market relationships and the ability to generate and manage their own portfolio. The successful individual will play a pivotal part in expanding the company’s reach across global territories, delivering tailored reinsurance solutions to cedants, carriers, and strategic partners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and grow a profitable book of reinsurance business, with an emphasis on international markets (excluding North America).

  • Leverage existing client and market relationships to generate new opportunities and support revenue growth.

  • Structure, negotiate, and place treaty and/or facultative reinsurance programmes, ensuring optimal outcomes for clients.

  • Maintain regular engagement with cedants, reinsurers, and market counterparties to understand their needs, market developments, and placement strategies.

  • Collaborate closely with analytical, technical, and administrative teams to deliver best-in-class service and placement execution.

  • Prepare and deliver client presentations, submission materials, and renewal strategies.

  • Monitor market trends, capacity shifts, and global reinsurance developments to ensure competitive positioning.

  • Ensure compliance with internal standards, regulatory requirements, and professional conduct expectations.

Skills & Experience Required
  • Proven experience as a Reinsurance Broker, preferably with exposure to international territories.

  • Demonstrable production capability, whether through transferable relationships, existing accounts, or a strong track record of new business development.

  • Solid understanding of treaty and/or facultative reinsurance structures, markets, and technical considerations.

  • Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-management skills.

  • Ability to operate independently while contributing to a collaborative team culture.

  • High level of professionalism, commercial awareness, and client-centric focus.

  • Willingness to travel internationally when required.
