Overview

Our client, a leading international brokerage, is seeking a Senior Transportation Specialist Broker to join their team. This is a high-impact production role suited to a broker with strong market presence, established client relationships, and the ability to generate new business across international territories. The successful candidate will help drive growth, deliver innovative placement solutions, and further strengthen the firm’s global transportation offering.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, manage, and grow a profitable portfolio of transportation business across global markets.

  • Leverage existing relationships with carriers, agents, and retail partners to drive new business opportunities and broaden market reach.

  • Structure, negotiate, and place complex transportation risks across international markets, ensuring optimal results for clients.

  • Serve as a key point of contact for clients, providing strategic advice on coverage structures, market capacity, and placement options.

  • Produce detailed submissions, placement strategies, and tailored solutions for fleet, logistics, cargo, heavy haulage, and associated transportation risks.

  • Maintain strong connectivity with global carriers and underwriters, monitoring capacity shifts, pricing trends, and emerging risks within the transportation sector.

  • Collaborate closely with internal specialty teams, account handlers, and analytics/resources to support efficient placement and client service.

  • Represent the firm at industry events, market meetings, and client presentations.

Skills & Experience Required
  • Established track record in transportation wholesale broking, with strong production capabilities and a demonstrated ability to win and retain business.

  • Deep understanding of transportation risk classes including (but not limited to) fleet, motor truck cargo, logistics, commercial auto, and related specialty lines.

  • Strong and trusted relationships across international markets and carrier networks.

  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.

  • Ability to operate autonomously while contributing to a collaborative, high-performing team environment.

  • Strong commercial acumen, client-focus, and attention to detail.

  • Flexibility to travel internationally when required.
