Position: Medical Malpractice Underwriter
Salary: Up to £90,000 + Package
Location: London (Hybrid)
I am supporting a leading Lloyd’s syndicate seeking an experienced Medical Malpractice Underwriter to help drive the growth of its International portfolio
You will underwrite a broad range of medical professionals’ risks, whilst supporting delegated business and open market business. The position involves managing broker and coverholder relationships, developing new opportunities, and supporting wider strategic objectives across the organisation.
Key responsibilities:
- Support the delegated authority portfolio across the UK and Europe
- Manage key broker and coverholder relationships
- Underwrite new and renewal business within underwriting guidelines
- Identify growth opportunities and contribute to cross-class initiatives
- Undertake market travel to support development activities
About you:
- Medical Malpractice/ Health Care or Professional Indemnity (med mal exposure) underwriting experience
- Proven ability to develop a profitable book
- Strong technical skills and market knowledge
- Effective communicator with strong relationship-building abilities with brokers and MGAs
- Detail-focused, proactive, and collaborative
