We are currently partnering with a leading London Market brokerage seeking a Marine Broker to join their specialist Marine team. This opportunity would suit a broker with 2+ years’ experience in the Marine insurance market who is looking to further develop their expertise in Hull & Machinery and Marine Liabilities.
The role will involve supporting the placement of North American marine business into the London Market, working closely with senior brokers and underwriters across a range of complex marine risks.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the placement of Marine Hull & Machinery and Marine Liability risks into the London Market
- Work alongside senior brokers on North American marine accounts
- Prepare and present slips, endorsements, and placement documentation
- Liaise with underwriters, producing brokers, and internal teams throughout the placement process
- Support renewals and contribute to market negotiations and strategy
- Maintain strong relationships with London Market underwriters
- Ensure accurate documentation and compliance with regulatory standards
Requirements
- 2+ years’ experience as a Marine Broker or within a marine broking team
- Exposure to Hull & Machinery and/or Marine Liability business
- Experience interacting with London Market insurers and underwriters
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Exposure to North American marine business would be advantageous
