Terrorism & Political Violence Broker
My client, a leading global reinsurance broker, is looking to appoint a Terrorism & Political Violence Broker to join its growing specialist team in London. This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly respected business with a strong international footprint, entrepreneurial culture, and market-leading reputation within the Terrorism and Political Violence space.
The successful candidate will become part of a highly collaborative and technically strong team that advises clients across a broad range of Terrorism and Political Violence risks, supporting both regional and multinational programmes. The division is recognised for its deep market expertise, innovative approach, and tailored client solutions across an evolving geopolitical risk landscape.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting the day-to-day placement and servicing of Terrorism and Political Violence business within the London Market.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, insurers, and key market stakeholders.
- Assisting clients in identifying current and future insurance needs and advising on appropriate coverage structures.
- Negotiating policy terms, pricing, and wordings with underwriters to secure competitive solutions.
- Preparing and presenting market submissions, renewal strategies, and placement documentation.
- Attending client and insurer meetings and supporting wider business development initiatives.
- Working closely with colleagues across broking, analytics, and servicing functions on complex and multinational placements.
- Contributing to strategic projects and supporting the continued growth of the division.
Candidate Requirements
- Previous experience within insurance or reinsurance broking, ideally with exposure to Terrorism and Political Violence risks.
- Good understanding of London Market processes and policy structures.
- Ability to manage multiple accounts and competing priorities within a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication, relationship management, and negotiation skills.
- Commercially minded with a proactive and solutions-focused approach.
- Ability to review and interpret insurance/reinsurance contracts and policy wordings.
- Proficiency across Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- A collaborative attitude and desire to develop within a specialist and growing market segment.
This is a full-time position based in London, with a hybrid working model requiring four days per week in the office.
