A well-established and highly regarded Lloyd's insurance broker is looking to appoint a Marine Broker Technician to join its growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with at least 12 months' experience in a Marine Broker Technician role, looking to further develop their career within a collaborative and supportive environment.
The successful candidate will already be working in a similar technical support role and have a good understanding of London Market marine business and broking processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical support to Marine Brokers throughout the placement process.
- Prepare and process market documentation, including slips, endorsements, MRCs and placing documentation.
- Liaise with underwriters, brokers, clients and other market participants to ensure business is processed efficiently.
- Produce and maintain accurate policy documentation and records.
- Process premium and policy transactions accurately and within required timescales.
- Assist with renewals, new business and mid-term adjustments.
- Ensure all documentation complies with internal procedures and market requirements.
- Support the wider Marine team with day-to-day technical and administrative duties.
Experience Required
- A minimum of 1 year's experience working as a Marine Broker Technician or in a closely related London Market technical role.
- Current experience supporting Marine business within the Lloyd's and London Market.
- Knowledge of London Market documentation and processes.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
- Confident communicator with the ability to build relationships with brokers and underwriters.
- Ability to prioritise workload and work accurately in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook.
