A leading Lloyd's insurance broker is looking to recruit an experienced Treaty Broker Technician to join its successful Reinsurance division. This is an excellent opportunity for a technical professional with 4+ years' experience supporting Treaty business within the Lloyd's and London Market.

The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting brokers throughout the full reinsurance placement lifecycle, ensuring the accurate and timely processing of documentation while maintaining strong relationships with both clients and markets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support to Treaty Brokers across a range of reinsurance placements.
  • Prepare, review and process treaty slips, cover notes, endorsements, wordings and other market documentation.
  • Produce and issue contractual documentation accurately and within agreed service levels.
  • Liaise with brokers, underwriters, clients and overseas offices to facilitate the placement and administration of treaty business.
  • Process premiums, claims and accounting transactions where required.
  • Monitor outstanding documentation and ensure records remain accurate and compliant.
  • Assist with renewals, new business placements and mid-term amendments.
  • Ensure all documentation complies with Lloyd's and London Market standards and internal procedures.
  • Support the wider Reinsurance team with technical queries and day-to-day operations.
Experience Required
  • 4+ years' experience working as a Treaty Broker Technician within the Lloyd's and London Market.
  • Strong understanding of treaty reinsurance processes and documentation.
  • Experience supporting brokers across proportional and/or non-proportional treaty business.
  • Excellent knowledge of London Market systems and procedures.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Confident communicator, able to build relationships with brokers, underwriters and clients.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
