SQL DBA Administrator – 2nd Line – 3rd Line – Microsoft SQL Server – AAG – SSIS – SSRS – Virtualisation – ITIL – Insurance
An insurance client based in the city is looking for a SQL DBA Administrator to be responsible for the technical support (2nd / 3rd line) of the IT Infrastructure; resolving issues and requests, raising and resolving problems and implementing small change.
What you will be responsible for:
- Manage and maintain entire MS-SQL server infrastructure across all environments: production, UAT and development
- Database backup and recovery with use of native backup and Ola Hallengren maintenance solution.
- Manage and audit database security
- Management of disaster recovery solutions (Microsoft Clustering, Availability Groups - including multi subnet configuration.
- Performance monitoring, tuning and capacity planning with use of native or third party tools (preferably RedGate SQL Monitor)
- Administration of Reporting Services (SSRS), Integration Services (SSIS) and Analytical Services (SSAS)
What you will have:
- 2nd and 3rd line support experience
- Excellent understanding of Microsoft SQL server and HA\DR options.
- Excellent understanding of AAG, SSRS, SSIS.
- Understanding of server virtualisation, preferably VMware
- Good understanding of Microsoft Active Directory users, groups and computer objects (desirable)
- Good knowledge of Powershell, TSQL
- Insurance experience (ideal)
