Our Watford based client seek an In-House Lawyer. You will be involved in various areas related to the UK's activity (insurance law, contract law, company law, data law, etc.). The role covers all areas of law with the exception of tax law and employment law.
In this capacity, you must be able to provide legal support on UK law issues to all departments within the company, with priority given to tasks currently outsourced by and regulatory watch for UK company entities:
- General contract law and GDPR;
- Matters relating to products marketed by the company credit insurance products, information products, recovery services…);
- Various aspects related to the drafting of insurance policies, in particular those intended for financial institutions;
- Internal advice regarding relationships and agreements with brokers and insurance agents;
- Contractual negotiations with suppliers;
- Regulatory watch;
- Review and drafting contacts relating to partnerships.
Person Specification
- You will be a UK qualified Solicitor/Lawyer with SQE/QLTS or equivalent.
- Significant experience ideally in an international law firm or in-house in a banking institution or insurance company, but experience of working in these sectors in a legal firm would also be considered.
