Product Manager

An award-winning insurance brand for young drivers and learner drivers. As well as our car insurance products, we offer a whole range of guidance and support for new drivers and parents too.

By rewarding young drivers with discounts for good driving, our aim is to help them stay safe on the road, (which helps Mum and Dad sleep at night) but also to make insurance more affordable.

The Opportunity

To join the team as Product Manager for our existing telematics motor products.

The role:

Existing Product Management

  • Help to define and deliver product roadmaps
  • Drive growth and commercial value within the existing products
  • Build compelling customer focused propositions
  • Work closely with marketing to identify target customers / campaigns
  • Become a Product ‘expert’ within the business
  • Delivering best in class customer journey / experience
  • Maintain in depth market and competitor knowledge
  • Deliver MI to report on the performance of the product portfolio
  • Monitor performance vs. plan, identify gaps / opportunities and make recommendations as to how to close these gaps
  • Understand the key financial drivers and use these to make recommendations to improve revenue generation and cost savings.

New Product Development

  • Identify new product opportunities in line with business direction / objectives.
  • Preparing and presenting business cases / cost benefit analysis / business forecasting and modelling
  • Product design and process mapping
  • Project managing launches and delivering to tight timescales
  • Ensuring all Governance and Compliance requirements are met

What we’re looking for:

  • A self-starter who can manage and prioritise their own work
  • Demonstrable experience in product management (ideally in Financial Services, Direct to Consumer)
  • A proven track record in delivery of new products or existing product initiatives
  • Strong head for numbers and an entrepreneurial outlook
  • Evidence of delivering customer led initiatives / Excellent customer focus
  • You will be comfortable managing several different projects at one time and maintaining a high quality of work throughout
  • Basic project management skills to ensure deadlines are met
  • Great communication skills and attention to detail
  • Evidence of working in a highly regulated environment

Our ideal candidate should be:

  • Someone who is happy to roll their sleeves up and get involved with whatever the team needs in order to succeed
  • CIM or other marketing qualification (would be a bonus)
  • Knowledge of the Direct to Consumer Insurance market - Ideally Motor
  • Knowledge of legislation and regulation that affects the marketing of insurance products.

Our environment:

Our head office is bright, airy and surrounded by stunning grounds. With the River Mole running alongside you’ll find all sorts of wildlife joining you on your lunchtime stroll or picnic.
