A growing Lloyd's broker have a new opportunity for a Claims Advocate. It will cover UK Property/Energy and U.S. Binding Authority claims. Previous experience of handling Property, Energy or Binding Authority claims is essential and a good knowledge of ECF would be useful.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Handle Property, Energy and Binding Authority claims from cradle to grave
- On receipt of claim notification, identify risk, review details in conjunction with coverage/wording afforded, acknowledge to client/intermediary, prepare claims file accurately and promptly and maintain in-house and external computerised claims records
- Monitor underwriter’s responses via ECF or email
- Handle all aspects of Complex claim post first notification to payment
- Liaise with clients/ TPA's and other third parties, ensuring relevant instructions are notified to Client/expert and vice versa
- Provide advocacy to Complex claims as required
- Identifying any potential errors and omissions if situations arise
- Reporting any claims difficulties immediately to management
- Building meaningful relationships with Clients, TPAs experts and insurers by dealing with them in a prompt, friendly and professional manner at all times
- Maintaining claims filing on DMS
- Keeping up to date with market and system changes
